Please note: The Oak Lawn Public Library provides patrons with thousands of eBooks to be downloaded and read on computers, eReaders and other electronic devices. The Library has learned that Adobe Digital Editions – a free reading app used in conjunction with eBooks – is gathering the reading habits and preferences of its users. The software allows Adobe to gather data on the eBooks that have been opened, which pages were read and in what order. All of this data, including title, publisher and other metadata for the book is sent to Adobe's server over the Internet. If you have any questions or concerns, please visit the Audio Visual Desk or contact 708-422-4990.
